Terminal Radio

I have organised and will be contributing mixes alongside other talented friends under my Loose Link and my other solo and collaborative aliases to a brand new mix series called Terminal Radio:

Left Click For Full Picture

Terminal Radio is a transmission broadcast offshoot of Terminal Window, a music project from FSOLBoard, a community of Future Sound of London fans on the internet. Artists on the board were invited to contribute tracks and collaborations to the album, given nothing but the title Terminal Window. Members who made tracks for the Terminal Window series and general fans of FSOL and ambient music were invited to contribute a 15 minute mix. Eight of these were collected and mixed together into a 2 hour trip. Each volume will feature eight more alternate universes converging into one super quadaural meta-brain.

Volume 1 features mixes by Nmesh, Herd, Akkya, The Dark Electronic Poets, Ross Baker, Loose Link, Five Minutes Alone and Offland, and is also available to listen to right now:

You can download a copy from Soundcloud too:

Full tracklisting available here:
http://soundcloud.com/akkya/fsol-forum-terminal-radio

Volume 2 is in full production, and Volume 3's line-up is already full, so plenty more to come.

Lastly, kind words from Darkfloor:

The KGP / Clockwork Live

Out now on Sirona Records, the collaboration between Jason Kavanagh and myself, a nice 30 minute trip, download here and enjoy (once again many thanks to Arnuad for hosting):

https://archive.org/details/siro493TheKgp-TheKgp

Also, the global trio Clockwork Keyboard played a live set at Lobith, Netherlands. Grab a lowbit recording of it here:

I've been taking abit of a break from music this year compared to the last, these two items materialized earlier this year. The only thing left from the same time period to be released is Sturmazdale, both an album and a mix. There will be a remix sometime as well, and there might be a solo effort by me before year's end.

Kitty And The Bowl

Finished some new animation finally! This one was for the Loop De Loop themed animated loop competition in Melbourne, the theme is "Mad"! I had a month to do it, but I prefer to animate frame by frame... soooo I tried to make it as simple as I can... but still ended up rushing a little bit.

Still, an enjoyable and viewable test. Enjoy!

Sturmazdale

A new website is up for Sturmazdale, a collaboration between me and Ross Baker. So far it contains samples from the upcoming debut album "Rooms and Trees" and various links to our other websites. We released a previous track "Caves" on Terminal Window 2, and the album will follow the same sort of vibe. A mix will be available around the same time as the album. Rooms and Trees will be available Summer 2012 on Turbinicarpus Records:

Hi-Ho Hyperthrust EP

Back in 2008 around when I started using the Loose Link name I had another alias that I used to make more straight-forward techno music. I produced a fair amount of tracks under the name but since then I never thought to use it again, and the name remained archived.

I've decided to introduce the alias by bumping up and compiling most of the older tracks together as an EP, which has been released through Effluvia Recordings today.

The track BB Gun was a track dedicated to my dog, and created specifically for him. Harmonica and that high tone sample for Icehouse's "Great Southern Land" always made him howl. The EP is dedicated to him, who died the day before the Christchurch earthquake in 2010.

Not much more to say about the EP itself, just hope it entertains and amuses you for 25 minutes or so. Hi-Ho Hyperthrust is such a overblown, amusing name that it just has to be used again one day in the future:

The KGP Is Alive

Clockwork Keyboard II

Coming soon will be the second album under the collaborative effort between myself and Jaochim Rontxeleius "Clockwork Keyboard". We are joined this time by German maestro Sven Meyer. The result should lead to examples of the best us three have to offer. The sessions so far have been very prolific and very enjoyable and should lead to a all round excellent offering.

It will be released on the Sirona Records netlabel. An EP titled 7 Trumpets will proceed it on the same website and will feature multiple version of the namesake track which will also appear on album two, plus a couple of b-sides from the sessions:

Previews:

There are plans also for multiple mixes, a lowbit EP and outtake collections for a couple of other netlabels, watch the clock...

Terminal Window 2

I've contributed tracks as Loose Link and as part of Clockwork Keyboard, plus handled and mixed the second Future Sound Of London fan forum compilation "Terminal Window".

The sequel to last year's effort was previously handled by Ross Baker who used to be known as Second Thought, he returns to volume 2 with new tracks under his own name along with cubus, Noisesurfer and Off Land. They are accompanied by new comers Akkya and Nmesh and the volume is rounded off with an effort from the new collaboration between Loose Link and Ross Baker under the name "Sturmazdale". Herd also returns as the cover artist providing a photo collage Buggy G. Riphead would be proud of and Nebojsha Mitrikeski returns with beautiful photographs from Macedonia.

The whole package will be released very soon on the Sirona Records netlabel, special thanks to Arnaud Barbe for hosting:
